This faculty position focuses on inpatient geriatric care at Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center, with a key leadership role in advancing geriatric consultative services and supporting interdisciplinary care for hospitalized older adults. The role includes direct patient care, supervision of learners, and participation in divisional activities supporting the clinical and academic mission.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide direct inpatient geriatric care at Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center.
- • Serve as the primary attending physician for the Geriatric Consult Service, leading clinical operations and developing strong collaborative relationships with physicians, hospital leadership, and community partners.
- • Provide coverage for the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit.
- • Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings as part of routine clinical care.
- • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to support patient- and family-centered care planning and complex medical decision-making.
- • Contribute to the development and growth of geriatric programs within the hospital setting.
- • Participate in divisional and departmental service activities that support clinical operations and patient care.
Required
- • M.D. or D.O.
- • Active or eligibility for Texas Medical License.
- • Board-certification or board-eligible in Geriatric Medicine.
- • Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
