Population Health Physician Advisor - Part Time

This role involves reviewing Nurse Practitioners' charts to identify areas for improvement and providing timely feedback to optimize their performance. The physician advisor will utilize EMRs and data portals to identify learning opportunities, respond to NP communications within 24 hours, and document incidents or urgent matters for further action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review charts of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide timely feedback to NPs and operational teams
  • Utilize relevant EMRs and data portals to identify learning opportunities for NPs
  • Offer formal feedback to optimize NP performance upon request
  • Field emails and escalations from NPs, responding within 24 hours, and escalating as needed
  • Document incidents or urgent matters for further action
  • Attend weekly 1-hour meetings each month with the NPs during NP business hours in the NP’s time zone
  • Attend quarterly 1 hour meeting on a Friday for Physician Advisor meetings
  • Attend other meetings as directed by the Chief Medical Officer
  • Provide 5 hours of support through ad hoc meetings or responding to NP emails within 24 hours

The Role:

  • Review charts of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide timely feedback to NPs and operational teams

Expectations, 10 hours/month:

  • Weekly 1-hour meetings each month with the NPs – Company and Contractor to be flexible but must be during NP business hours in the NP’s time zone
  • Quarterly 1 hour meeting on a Friday for Physician Advisor meetings
  • Other meetings as directed by the Chief Medical Officer
  • 5 hours of support – Can be ad hoc meetings but Company will work with Contractor schedule, or just responding to NP emails within 24 hours


Qualifications:

  • Must be an MD in the state of CA in good standing
