Associate Professor/Professor (Tenured/Tenure-Track) - Artificial Intelligence (AI), D. Bradley McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics (MSBMI)

Faculty positions focus on advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in biomedical informatics across three departments, involving research, teaching graduate courses, and collaborative projects.   • Advanced AI methods, including deep learning and foundation models

Required
  • A PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree
  • An exceptional record of external funding and scholarship

The D. Bradley McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics (MSBMI) at UTHealth Houston invites applications for tenured or tenure-track, Associate Professor or Professor positions with a primary focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the following departments:

  • Department of Health Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
  • Department of Clinical and Health Informatics
  • Department of Bioinformatics and Systems Medicine

The McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics is the nation’s first school of biomedical informatics and a global leader in AI, data science, and health informatics. Located in the Texas Medical Center—the largest medical complex in the world—the school collaborates closely with:

  • UTHealth Houston schools and clinical enterprises

Faculty have access to large-scale clinical, imaging, and molecular datasets, as well as enterprise platforms supporting AI research, digital twins, and learning health systems.

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH DATA SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
