The Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Psychiaty. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities may include training resident and fellows in addition to precepting medical students and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include performing comprehensive evaluations and management of patients with sleep disorders while also addressing underlying mental health needs and/or insomnia; interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency test, and home sleep apnea test; attending in the sleep disorder clinical and sleep telemedicine program. Clinical responsibilities will be primarily at the outpatient site of the Sleep Division at the University of Pennsylvania.
