Medical Oncologist | Join a rapidly growing practice | Winston-Salem, NC

This role involves managing a patient population aged 18 and older with a focus on gastrointestinal malignancies within a multidisciplinary care model. The position emphasizes collaboration with colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, radiation oncology, and other GI subspecialists, and supports participation in clinical research, including early phase clinical trials.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Oncology
  • Specific interests should include GI malignancies, and the multi-disciplinary management of these patients.
  • The prospective candidate should be comfortable working with colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, radiation/oncology and other GI specific subspecialists.
Preferred
  • A strong interest in clinical research as well as experience in early phase (Phase I) clinical research preferred but not mandatory for this position.

  • Team of 23 Providers: 15 physicians & 8 APPs
  • The average patient panel is anticipated to be 18 per day, per provider.
  • Our cancer program emphasizes disease-focused sub-specialization, with most physicians concentrating on one to two primary disease areas within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model.
  • This is an exciting opportunity in a growing program that is rising to meet the needs of the evolving health care environment at a fully Accredited Integrated Network Cancer Program that includes the full spectrum of comprehensive support programs.
  • The Triad Region is a division of Novant Health Cancer Institute. The institute includes over 100 specialists in 30+ locations across the state of NC.
