Acute Rehab Medical Directorship

The Medical Director will provide strategic leadership, clinical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality healthcare services. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership, setting the strategic direction and vision for clinical operations and patient care.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement clinical programs and initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of clinical policies, protocols, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in patient care, promoting continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practices.
  • Lead and engage the medical staff, cultivating a collaborative and productive environment that supports professional growth and development.
  • Develop strong relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in medical research, technology, and treatment modalities, and incorporate best practices into clinical operations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to analyze clinical outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in peer review processes, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and guidelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between the medical staff, administration, and other departments, fostering effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Provide clinical guidance and consultation to support clinical decision-making and complex patient cases.
  • Represent the organization in professional forums, conferences, and external partnerships to promote Medrina's reputation and influence in the healthcare community.
Required
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Current board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
  • Valid and unrestricted state medical license and in good standing.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, such as Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, or similar, preferably within a healthcare organization.
  • Strong clinical expertise and a track record of delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse medical staff.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and collaborate across departments.
