Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Attending

Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services within the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program, interpret echocardiograms, and collaborate closely with program directors and other cardiology specialists. Participate in research and teaching activities as part of the role, contributing to the management of complex HCM patients using established and novel treatment paradigms.

NYU Langone Health, Leon H. Charney Division of Cardiology seeks a consulting cardiologist for its growing Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program.

As a consultant in the HCM Program you will provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services, interpret echocardiograms and work closely with the Director of the HCM Program, the Director of HCM Research and other key clinicians including cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, interventional and heart failure cardiologists.

The HCM Physician will participate in research and teaching as an intrinsic part of the job and receive an academic title from NYU Grossman School of Medicine commensurate with experience.

The NYU HCM Program is the largest in the Mid-Atlantic States, drawing on a large geographic area of >20 million inhabitants. We have consulted over 3000 patients. We manage complex HCM patients by drawing on the extensive expertise of our HCM attending physicians and the depth of resources at NYU Langone Health. You would be working with pioneers in the field with decades of experience. Our Program is now comprised of 3 consulting cardiologists with the support of 2 experienced HCM myectomy surgeons, 3 dedicated Advanced Practice Providers and 3 research coordinators. HCM is now a highly treatable condition with established treatment paradigms and promising novel therapies.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $400,000-450,000 depending on experience. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
