The Medical Director provides clinical direction and supervision for medical staff at multiple correctional institution sites, ensuring efficient and clinically appropriate medical services. The role involves collaboration with the Health Services Administrator and participation in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements
- • Direct clinical services for patients
- • Provide clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director
- • Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided
- • Participate in various committees including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested
Required
- • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
- • Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- • Ability to pass credentialing and background check

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
