Children's Hospital Colorado -Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician
The candidate will provide medical services in both inpatient and outpatient environments, primarily focusing on inpatient rehabilitation and consultation. The role includes teaching Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellows, residents, medical students, and physical therapy students, as well as participating in quality improvement and scholarly activities.
Key Responsibilities
- • Clinical responsibilities focused on the inpatient setting including service on the inpatient rehabilitation unit and inpatient rehabilitation consultation team
- • Additional clinical duties may include participating in general rehabilitation clinics and multi-disciplinary clinics
- • Teaching responsibilities include participating in the education of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellows, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents, medical students, and physical therapy students
- • Academic responsibilities include participation in quality improvement activities and actively pursuing and participating in other scholarly activities as well as mentoring residents and fellows
- • Supports the continued growth of the department at Children’s Hospital Colorado
Required
- • MD/DO from an accredited institution
- • Board certified/Board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- • Board certified/Board eligible in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine
- • For Associate Professor: 5 years experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine
Preferred
- • 3 years experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine (for Assistant Professor)
- • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- • Proven ability to care for patients with high complexity, both medically and psychosocially
- • Ability to work collaboratively within a rehabilitation team and develop relationships within the medical community
