The OB Hospitalist provides assessment, evaluation, planning, and treatment aligned with evidence-based guidelines and performs at the highest professional standards of clinical practice. The physician collaborates with external referring physicians to provide continuous care and assist patients with appropriate treatment and follow-up as clinically indicated.

Required
- • Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (DO)
- • Board Certified or Board Eligible in the physician's associated specialty
- • Physician's unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California
- • Must meet all requirements for membership and unrestricted clinical privileges of the CH Medical Staff
- • Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5
- • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 45 days
- • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
- • Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects, and contraindications
- • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
- • Proven experience working in clinical practice as a physician
- • Collaborative in identifying and supporting operational improvements
- • Escalates issues and engages other members of the care team or administrative support or leadership when needed

Education:
Minimum: Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (DO). Board Certified or Board Eligible in the physician's associated specialty.
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
Minimum: Physician's unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California. Must meet all requirements for membership and unrestricted clinical privileges of the CH Medical Staff.
