We're seeking a mission-driven Physician to join Curana Health and make a meaningful impact in an Inpatient Rehabilitation facility. In this role, you'll serve as the attending physician for rehabilitation patients, delivering high-quality, goal-oriented care that maximizes functional recovery and supports safe transitions back to the community. You'll build strong relationships with the interdisciplinary rehab team, champion patient-centered care plans, and play a vital role in improving outcomes for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgery, neurological conditions, and other complex diagnoses. This position offers a structured 7 on/7 off schedule, giving you true work-life balance alongside the resources, stability, and growth opportunities of a leading healthcare organization dedicated to transforming patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based inpatient rehabilitation care, including completing admission history and physicals and conducting daily rounds for all assigned patients.
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) conferences, collaborating with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, case management, and nursing to drive individualized rehabilitation goals.
• Manage complex medical needs of rehab patients, ensuring compliance with CMS Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) admission criteria and documentation requirements.
• Partner with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to manage patient visits and ensure continuity and clinical excellence across the patient census.
• Oversee APP performance, serving as a mentor and resource to elevate care delivery across your team.
• Close quality gaps when prompted, driving measurable improvements in functional outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Serve as a trusted advocate for patients, championing their recovery goals and care preferences throughout their stay.
• Represent Curana Health's mission and values as a clinical leader and ambassador in the facility you serve.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of employment
• Active DEA License
• Proficiency with EMR

This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required.
