Curana Health
Serve as the attending physician for rehabilitation patients in an Inpatient Rehabilitation facility, delivering high-quality, goal-oriented care to maximize functional recovery and support safe transitions back to the community. Build strong relationships with the interdisciplinary rehab team, champion patient-centered care plans, and improve outcomes for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgery, neurological conditions, and other complex diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide compassionate, evidence-based inpatient rehabilitation care, including completing admission history and physicals and conducting daily rounds for all assigned patients.
- • Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) conferences, collaborating with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, case management, and nursing to drive individualized rehabilitation goals.
- • Manage complex medical needs of rehab patients, ensuring compliance with CMS Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) admission criteria and documentation requirements.
- • Partner with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to manage patient visits and ensure continuity and clinical excellence across the patient census.
- • Oversee APP performance, serving as a mentor and resource to elevate care delivery across your team.
- • Close quality gaps when prompted, driving measurable improvements in functional outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- • Serve as a trusted advocate for patients, championing their recovery goals and care preferences throughout their stay.
- • Represent Curana Health's mission and values as a clinical leader and ambassador in the facility you serve.
Required
- • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine
- • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of employment
- • Active DEA License
- • Proficiency with EMR

In this role, you'll serve as the attending physician for rehabilitation patients, delivering high-quality, goal-oriented care that maximizes functional recovery and supports safe transitions back to the community.
