Anesthesiologist - Chestnut Hill Hospital - Full Time

The role involves directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, managing patients undergoing surgery or medical procedures requiring anesthesia, and performing pre-anesthesia assessments. Responsibilities include obtaining patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, administering anesthesia, monitoring physiological conditions, and performing clinical interventions as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Required
  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMC and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician

Located in a prominent neighborhood of Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill Hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and treatment services. Chestnut Hill Hospital is a part of Tower Health Network. The facility has 148 beds, 300 physicians and healthcare professionals, two women’s centers, an offsite physical therapy center, and primary care practices.

Dialysis access, podiatry, general abdominal, GYN, and more

Shifts

8's, 12's, and 24's. No in-house call. Beeper call (90/year).
