Emergency Medicine
An Emergency Services Physician is responsible for delivering and administering comprehensive quality medical care across the age continuum to patients seeking emergent or urgent medical care. The role requires adherence to all medical staff policies.
Key Responsibilities

- • Adhering to all medical staff policies
Required
- • Current emergency medicine experience is required
- • Graduate of an approved school of medicine or osteopathy is required
- • Successful completion of residency training in an ACGME accredited in area of specialty program is required
- • Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Osteopathy by the Oregon State Board of Medical Examiners (OSBME) is required
- • MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
- • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
- • Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges including position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team
- • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
- • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage
