Summary
The Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC) seeks a Board-Certified or Board-eligible, fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologist. Comprehensive services include digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, MRI, radioactive seed localizations and image guided core biopsy (stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI). Experience/training in breast MRI is essential. Breast radiologists do not take overnight or weekend call.
The Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Department is comprised of 7 dedicated breast imagers and 30 clinical radiology faculty. Our main state-of-the-art Breast Imaging Center, is located in the Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center in the downtown campus adjacent to the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The satellite community office BCWNY, adjacent to the Scott Bieler Amherst Center is about 15mins northeast of the downtown hospital. This location will receive an update and expansion into a dedicated breast imaging center, with a new breast MRI, scheduled to open in 2027. A second breast imaging satellite site is planned to open in 2027. Given the continued growth, we are recruiting additional radiologists.
The breast imaging team works collaboratively with the breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists to provide multidisciplinary care to our patients, as well as with RPCCC outreach programs to increase screening participation in our local community.
Roswell Park is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center (one of only two in New York State) and a University at Buffalo (UB) Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences affiliate, with academic appointments for staff. We are an ACR Breast Center of Excellence and our Breast Program is accredited by the NAPBC. Current trainees also include UB medical students, radiology residents, a breast imaging fellow and breast surgical oncology fellows.
Roswell Park is located in the heart of the thriving medical corridor in Buffalo, NY. Buffalo has undergone a major transformation in the past few years, building on its marvelous waterfront on the shores of Lake Erie, its historic architecture, its affordable, charming, tree-lined neighborhoods, its proximity to Canada and the Toronto metropolitan area, its world-renowned symphony and art gallery, dozens of universities and colleges, and its international airport.
