The position bridges clinical AI safety with sales support, involving direct engagement with clients and collaboration to improve AI module quality.
Key Responsibilities
- • Design and execute AI safety testing protocols for clinical AI modules (hallucination detection, omission analysis, clinical accuracy validation)
- • Review and validate AI-generated clinical content against evidence-based guidelines
- • Partner with the Sales team as a clinical SME during demos, prospect calls, and pilot evaluations
- • Engage with clients and prospects, as a Physician Leader, to help frame the value message of Avo and our solutions

- • Collaborate with the Studio team to improve module quality based on safety findings and customer feedback
- • Contribute to clinical documentation, white papers, and safety reports that build buyer confidence
Required
- • Active clinical license — MD/DO, NP, or PA with hands-on patient care experience
- • Mid-career — 3-7 years of clinical practice, enough to speak credibly to practicing clinicians
- • AI/health IT curiosity — experience with or strong interest in clinical AI, CDS, or health informatics
- • Communication skills — comfortable presenting and doing product demonstrations to C-suite clinical leaders and translating technical concepts
- • Quality mindset — detail-oriented approach to testing, validation, and clinical accuracy
- • Comfort with ambiguity — this is a hybrid role at a growth-stage company; you'll shape it as you go
Preferred
- • Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Meditech, Athena)
- • Background in clinical informatics, quality improvement, or patient safety
- • Prior experience in a sales engineering, solutions, or customer-facing clinical role
- • Familiarity with AI/LLM evaluation methodologies
Avo is the clinical AI platform used by healthcare enterprises to infuse trusted knowledge into clinical copilots — from AI-powered charting and decision support to an intelligent clinical assistant — all integrated directly into the EHR. Our platform helps clinicians deliver higher-quality care without the documentation burden.
About The Role
You'll sit at the intersection of clinical AI safety and customer-facing solutions work. On one side, you'll own the validation, testing, and safety assurance of our AI-generated clinical content. On the other, you'll work directly with prospective and existing customers as a clinical subject matter expert — supporting sales conversations and demos. This is a hybrid clinical-technical role for someone who wants to shape how AI is safely deployed in real clinical workflows.
