Retina Surgeon

The role involves providing comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous diseases, performing in-office procedures and surgical interventions using advanced imaging and laser technology, and collaborating with other eye care providers to ensure coordinated patient care. The surgeon will also participate in call coverage and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
  • Perform in-office procedures and surgical interventions utilizing advanced imaging and laser technology.
  • Collaborate with optometrists, general ophthalmologists, and referring providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in call coverage as designated by the practice.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards and quality metrics.
Required
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an AUPO-FCC–approved Retina/Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Current state medical license (or eligibility) in Connecticut

New England Retina Associates of ReFocus Eye Health seeks a fellowship-trained Retina Surgeon to join our expanding network of ophthalmology practices in the greater Connecticut region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical foundation, advanced surgical skills, and a patient-centered approach aligned with our organization’s mission to provide exceptional eye care throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.

Qualifications:
