The Geriatric Psychiatrist provides direct clinical care in the inpatient setting to geriatric patients, delivering comprehensive inpatient mental health treatment. The role includes opportunities to teach and mentor residents and fellows, participate in Grand Rounds presentations, and collaborate with faculty and staff within a newly redesigned Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic at Tuality Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide direct clinical care in the inpatient setting to geriatric patients on an as needed basis
- • Provide comprehensive inpatient mental health treatment in a positive and supportive environment
- • Teach and mentor residents and fellows
- • Participate in regular Grand Rounds presentations (1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit)
- • Explore opportunities to serve with the Unity Center for Behavioral Health
- • Collaborate with a host of engaged faculty, staff and educators
Required

- • Board Eligible or Board Certified in both Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry
Preferred
- • Strong preference for those having completed Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry

Function/Duties of Position
The primary function of the Geriatric Psychiatrist is to provide direct clinical care in the inpatient setting to geriatric patients on an as needed basis. Moonlight with us and provide comprehensive inpatient mental health treatment in a positive and supportive environment.
This position is located at a newly redesigned Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic at Tuality Hospital in Hillsboro, Oregon an acute psychiatric facility serving patients age 60 and older.
