Physician Interventional Radiologist

The Physician is accountable for the effective delivery of primary and preventive health services in designated District clinics. The role includes overseeing medical and health affairs and ensuring quality of patient care.

  • Working knowledge of clinical analysis, performance improvement and outcomes and ability to interpret and communicate complex medical issues.

  • Establishes and strives to achieve "stretch" performance standards.
  • Creative, energetic persona with a strong public relations ability, professional demeanor, and attitude is essential.
  • A high degree of motivation and self-achievement is essential.
  • Knowledge of border health issues.
  • Culturally sensitive.
  • Current Texas Medical License.
  • BLS and/or ACLS certified through the American Heart Association.
  • Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Degree (DO).
  • Completion of an ACGME/AOA accredited residency training program in Interventional Radilogy.
  • Board certified in Interventional Radiology.
Preferred
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
  • Two years of experience in interventional radiology and in an underserved area preferred.
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Record Meaningful Use, and Managed Care preferred.

Required Experience

Work Experience

  • Two years of experience in interventional radiology and in an underserved area preferred.
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Record Meaningful Use, and Managed Care preferred.

License/Registration/certification

  • Current Texas Medical License..
