Key Responsibilities
- • Work with the Health Services Administrator and the Mental Health Director in the coordination of the mental health care delivery system.
- • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients, as well as follow-up and chronic care appointments.
- • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual youth needs.
- • Provide education to youth about their treatment and ensure comprehension.
- • Manage crisis situations effectively by conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate level of care.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- • Stay current on advancements in psychiatry and behavioral health practices.
Required
- • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- • Board certification in Psychiatry.
- • Valid state medical license to practice as a Psychiatrist in the state of California.
- • Proficiency in psychopharmacology.
- • Strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient care.
- • Experience in crisis management and behavioral health interventions.
