This role is a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator position focused on primary care with a special emphasis on complex medical weight loss. It also includes serving as the medical director for the Bariatric Surgery program and may involve academic teaching activities and participation in research and clinical trials.

This position may also engage in academic activities such as precepting medical students, precepting residents in clinic, inpatient teaching service and participating in other undergraduate medical education activities as well as the opportunity to participate in research activities and clinical trials as a clinical expert or co-investigator. Involvement in academic activities will range based upon prior teaching experience.
Qualified candidates will be board-certified/board-eligible in Internal Medicine and be Obesity board certified.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
The expected base pay range for this position is $240,000 - $270,000.
Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
