Provide 24/7 inpatient coverage for a 53-bed pediatric ward, delivering high-quality, timely care across all shifts and days of the year. Serve as the primary inpatient team for patients ages 0–21 years for general pediatrics and non–hematology-oncology subspecialty admissions, coordinating subspecialist consultation and providing surgical co-management when needed.

Required
- • MD or DO degree
- • Board Certified or Board Eligible
- • Eligible to obtain a medical license in the State of Hawaii
- • Be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics (ABP)
Preferred
- • Board certification is not required in Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine but is preferred/considered a plus

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a highly motivated and Board Certified or Board Eligible Per-Diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join our collaborative group that provides comprehensive inpatient pediatric care for the islands of Hawaii.
What You’ll Do
- Provide 24/7 inpatient coverage for a 53-bed pediatric ward, delivering high-quality, timely care across all shifts and days of the year
- Serve as the primary inpatient team for patients ages 0–21 years for general pediatrics and non–hematology-oncology subspecialty admissions, coordinating subspecialist consultation and providing surgical co-management when needed. (We do not cover hematology-oncology and do not cover the newborn nursery.) We benefit from having a 24/7 pediatric intensivist and pediatric emergency room physician available to us for consultation

About Kapi‘olani Medical Center For Women & Children
Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care.
