Mountain Region Executive
The role is responsible for advancing clinical excellence, physician engagement, quality outcomes, and patient safety across the organization. It partners with physicians, executive leadership, nursing, and operational teams to strengthen collaboration, drive clinical and operational performance, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities

- • works collaboratively with nursing and operational leaders to support high-reliability care models, multidisciplinary partnerships, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance both the patient and provider experience
Required
- • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in physician services delivery and medical staff administration
- • Demonstrated success leading physician engagement, clinical operations, and medical staff initiatives
- • Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards, managed care, healthcare policy, and regulatory compliance
- • Proven ability to effectively integrate medical management strategies within hospital operations
- • Board Certified in an approved clinical specialty required while actively practicing medicine
- • Current and unrestricted physician license in the applicable state required if actively practicing medicine
- • Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff privileges as applicable
- • Collaborative and relationship-focused physician executive
- • Strong strategic, operational, and quality leadership capabilities
- • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with physicians, nursing leadership, and executive teams
- • Experience driving clinical quality, patient safety, and physician alignment initiatives
Preferred
- • Experience with medical staff relations, credentialing, quality measurement, and medical management strongly preferred

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO partners closely with physicians, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen collaboration, drive operational and clinical performance, and support a culture grounded in quality, innovation, and patient-centered care.
This leader plays a critical role in shaping the future of care delivery, fostering strong medical staff relationships, and advancing strategic initiatives aligned with organizational and system priorities. The CMO works collaboratively with nursing and operational leaders to support high-reliability care models, multidisciplinary partnerships, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance both the patient and provider experience
Job Requirements
