The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks an up to 1.0 FTE faculty member to join the section of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Major responsibilities of the position include clinical care of patients with complex gynecologic disorders, teaching and supervision of Ob-Gyn residents and medical students (including active participation in preoperative conferences), and conducting clinical research. Candidates with academic experience are preferred; however, providers early in their careers are encouraged to apply for the position. All candidates should be dedicated to providing high quality patient care and exemplary teaching. A willingness to provide obstetric care is preferred. The department is composed of 29 faculty members and is based at the UF Health Science Center in Jacksonville, which is located on the easily accessible north part of downtown in Jacksonville, Florida. The UF Health Jacksonville hospital averages 3000-3500 deliveries a year and has a level 3 NICU staffed by UF neonatologists. The Department also employs full-time faculty in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Minimally Invasive Surgery, which are available during overnight hours.
