Key Responsibilities
- • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
- • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- • Code and bill services appropriately
- • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required
- • Active, unrestricted license for MD/DO
- • Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
- • Active DEA license
- • Ability to treat patients of all ages
- • Active BLS certification
- • EHR proficiency
- • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
- • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees paid)
- • Must be willing to supervise physician assistants as per AZ Medical Board guidelines - will be compensated for these duties
Preferred
- • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
- • Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
- • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read

Status: Full‑Time
Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM -- 8:00 PM, seven days a week; rotating weekends and occasional holidays required

We are seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast‑paced, well‑supported urgent care environment.

The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low‑acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.
