Physician - Urgent Care | Full-time | Scottsdale, AZ - Oak St.

This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages in an urgent care setting, with a mix of acute illnesses, injuries, occupational health visits, and procedures. The position emphasizes clear communication, efficient documentation, productivity, and practicing in alignment with clinical standards in a fast-paced, well-supported environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required
  • Active, unrestricted license for MD/DO
  • Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
  • Active DEA license
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees paid)
  • Must be willing to supervise physician assistants as per AZ Medical Board guidelines - will be compensated for these duties
Preferred
  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
  • Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
  • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read

Location: 2122 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 - Cross Streets: N Scottsdale Rd & E Oak St

Status: Full‑Time

Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM -- 8:00 PM, seven days a week; rotating weekends and occasional holidays required

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) + monthly bonus + APP supervision stipend

We are seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast‑paced, well‑supported urgent care environment.
