This role serves as a Hospital Epidemiologist providing real-time clinical guidance, active stewardship, outbreak investigation leadership, and development of infection prevention and control policies. The position also collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, serves as a liaison to public health authorities, and contributes to regulatory preparedness and education to ensure patient and staff safety.

- • BC/BE infectious diseases physician
- • board-certified (or board-eligible) in infectious diseases

NewYork-Presbyterian/ Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a 651-bed academic institution, academically affiliated with Weil Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. We treat 42,000 inpatients as well as 500,000 outpatients annually. The hospital’s academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The salary range for this position is $240k to $280k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
