Psychiatrist:
We are looking for a psychiatrist to join our Inpatient Psychiatric team. Bozeman Health opened a new 14-bed adult inpatient psychiatry unit and is looking for an additional psychiatrist to staff this new unit. Ideal candidate must be a graduate of ACGME accredited psychiatry residency. 3-5 years of post-residency experience preferred but not required. Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting and knowledge of multidisciplinary team psychiatric care is preferred.
Clinic Hours and Call:
Our beautiful new inpatient unit is located at Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center in Bozeman Montana. In addition to the psychiatrists, the unit employs a multidisciplinary team approach including nursing, social work, occupational therapy, peer support, clinical pharmacy, and other therapeutic support services. The schedule for this position is expected to be 7 days on/7 off with 10-11 hour day shifts. Any call expectations to be split between psychiatry team. Common disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, substance abuse, and psychosis are treated on this unit. This role offers opportunity for both management of psychiatric patients alongside the team on the inpatient unit as well as opportunity for psychiatry consultation in other units and the emergency department as needed.

Bozeman Health Big Sky Medical Center
Bozeman Health Big Sky Medical Center is an eight-bed, critical access hospital serving the Big Sky and West Yellowstone communities. The facility offers 24/7 emergency care with a helistop, inpatient and primary care, psychiatry services, imaging and ultrasound, laboratory services and pharmacy services. It has earned the Montana Trauma Receiving Facility designation (commonly referred to as a Level 5 trauma program).
Clinical Growth and Innovation
Bozeman Health has expanded clinical services in recent years, including pediatric orthopedics, a Spine + Joint Institute, and urogynecology. The system opened a new adult inpatient psychiatric unit in 2025 and continues to build additional specialty service lines, including gynecologic oncology, and a Neurosurgery and Spine clinic.
