Podiatrist - P/T

An established outpatient clinic is seeking an experienced Podiatrist to provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment for problems affecting the feet, ankle, and lower legs. The role includes diagnosing conditions, prescribing and administering treatments, ordering tests, consulting with other physicians, and documenting patient visits in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.
  • Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery and sets fractures.
  • Administers medications and local anesthetics.
  • Orders additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds etc.) to form a better diagnosis if necessary.
  • Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner.
  • Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems.
  • Completes clinical notes within a timely fashion for each patient visit.
  • Displays a positive, professional, and respectful demeanor at all times toward fellow staff members, peers, professional contacts, and patients served.
Required
  • Must be fully licensed to practice in the state of NY
  • Board certified
  • DPM Degree
  • DEA certificate
  • 2 + years of experience as a Podiatrist
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Excellent bedside manner, empathy, and patience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry

  • Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related. structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.
