This full-time faculty role focuses on inpatient rehabilitation care with training and interest in serving as Medical Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at a free-standing, community-based rehabilitation hospital. The position includes clinical oversight, inpatient rehabilitation unit and consultation service management, teaching, scholarly activity, and participation in an integrated PM&R residency.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide visible physician leadership, clinical oversight, and regulatory stewardship to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered inpatient rehabilitation care while advancing performance, culture, growth, and reputation.
- • Manage inpatient rehabilitation unit service, inpatient consultation service, along with teaching and scholarly activity.
- • Collaborate with referring services and other departments as appropriate to ensure transitions across the continuum of care.
- • Establish a community-based consultation service at other locations as appropriate.
- • Lecture to PM&R residents and students.
- • Attend Grand Rounds as scheduled.
Required
- • MD or DO.
- • Board Certified/ Board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- • Experience with medical management of rehabilitation needs for patients during inpatient rehabilitation including medically complex, neurologic or orthopedic diagnoses.
- • All faculty are required to take an active role in our integrated residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

- • Administrative experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
