Physician Pediatric Hospitalist/General Pediatric Per Diem

This role provides per diem Pediatric Hospitalist coverage with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. The physician will consult on Pediatric ER cases, assist across pediatric inpatient areas as needed, participate in pediatric educational activities, and support collaborative, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult all Pediatric ER cases when requested and all cases as per hospital policies.
  • Assist in other areas in hospital (pediatric unit, OR's etc.) as needed.
  • Attend all pediatric educational activities (Grand Rounds, etc.) and skill sessions as required by Department of Pediatrics.
  • Must be a positive role model for nurses, and students.
  • Work with department to develop strong positive ties with patients and their families, private attending staff and surgeons.
  • May assist neonatologists in clinical activities when workloads in nurseries require additional support (and primary care responsibilities are completed or well covered by other personnel).
Required
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics within 2 years of onset of employment
  • Valid New Jersey medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • DEA & NJ CDS registrations
  • AHA or American Red Cross BLS & PALS certification

Englewood Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join its Pediatric team on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for a physician with strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and one who values flexibility while contributing to a high‑quality, collaborative environment. **What your day will look like**

**Qualifications**

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Pediatric Residency Program
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatrics within 2 years of onset of employment
  • Valid New Jersey medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)

Minimum compensation: $103.00 per hour
