Addiction Psychiatrist | Anchorage, AK | Flexible Scheduling & Excellent Compensation

This role focuses on adult addiction psychiatry in a mostly inpatient setting, with optional outpatient, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested. The position includes direct patient care, psychiatric evaluations, documentation, treatment team meetings, and opportunities for leadership, teaching, and mentoring.

  • Service Line Directorship (optional)
  • Mentoring medical students, psychiatry residents and fellows, nursing students, etc.
Required
  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
  • BE or BC General Psychiatry through ABPN required
  • Licensed to practice in the State of AK or the ability to obtain an AK medical license
  • Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
Preferred
  • BE or BC Addiction Psychiatry through ABPN or equivalent previous experience is preferred

Details

  • Position Adult Addiction Psychiatrist + Service Line Directorship (optional).
  • Setting Mostly inpatient with optional available OP, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested.
  • Focus on patients Complete initial psychiatric evaluations, assessments, discharges, patient documentation, treatment team meetings, and daily care of assigned patients.
  • Setting Mostly inpatient with optional available OP, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested.
  • Flexible scheduling options Open to variations of block scheduling or Monday-Friday.
  • Minimal call/weekend coverage 15 Saturday/Sunday rounding and once per week evening call (phone only).
