Responsible for maintaining accreditation and performing the oversight and regulatory functions of a fellowship program that meets specified criteria. Facilitates fellows’ ethical, professional and personal development through education and evaluation, and provides supervision that supports safe and appropriate patient care. Also oversees the overall conduct of the fellowship program and reports to the appropriate institutional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- • maintaining the accreditation of and performing all relevant oversight and regulatory functions of a fellowship program

- • provides supervision of the fellows that supports safe and appropriate patient care in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Institutional requirements
- • responsible to the Chair of Graduate Medical Education at Moffitt Cancer Center and to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida for the overall conduct of the fellowship program
- • Development and Maintenance of Curriculum
- • Supervision of Fellows
- • Rotation Review
- • Mentoring of Fellows
- • Fellow Recruitment
- • Evaluation of Fellows and Other Trainees
- • Evaluation of Faculty and Staff
- • Reporting to Agencies
- • Adherence to Accreditation and Other Requirements

- • Participation in Academic Committees
Required
- • At least 3 years experience as a Hem Onc faculty member, responsible for supervision of Hem Onc fellows, residents and medical students
- • ACLS
- • BLS
- • MD/OD
- • MD/DO
- • Hematology/Oncology Board eligible (or certified)
Preferred
- • At least 3 years experience as an associate program director in a Hem Onc fellowship program
The Program Director is responsible for maintaining the accreditation of and performing all relevant oversight and regulatory functions of a fellowship program that meets specified criteria approved by CAO, DPIC, and PIC. The Program Director facilitates the fellows’ ethical, professional and personal development through education and evaluation and provides supervision of the fellows that supports safe and appropriate patient care in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Institutional requirements. The Program Director is responsible to the Chair of Graduate Medical Education at Moffitt Cancer Center and to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida for the overall conduct of the fellowship program.
