This role involves conducting comprehensive medical record reviews and providing objective, evidence-based independent medical opinions on cases involving musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain conditions, rehabilitation services, functional impairment, and treatment planning. The position is fully remote, offers flexible scheduling, and allows the reviewer to customize workload while working as a 1099 independent contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- • Reviewing medical records and supporting documentation

- • Answering client-specific questions regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation services, and functional outcomes

Required
- • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- • Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- • Current, unrestricted Michigan medical license
- • Active clinical practice or recent experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- • Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience
- • Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions
- • Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, credentialing, and professional requirements necessary to perform reviewer services
Preferred
- • Experience evaluating musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, pain management, and functional impairment cases

Dane Street is seeking experienced, Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians licensed in Michigan to join our growing panel of independent physician reviewers. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to conduct comprehensive medical record reviews and provide objective, evidence-based opinions on cases involving musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain conditions, rehabilitation services, functional impairment, and treatment planning.

Position Description
As a Physician Reviewer, you will evaluate medical records, prepare concise clinical summaries, and provide independent medical opinions in response to specific questions posed by our clients. Reviews may include assessments of medical necessity, appropriateness of care, causation, impairment, functional capacity, rehabilitation needs, treatment recommendations, and return-to-work considerations.

Requirements
