This role supports research in neuropsychiatric disorders through performing studies and experiments, analyzing and preparing reports and presentations, and summarizing data. The selected candidate will also teach and mentor postdocs and students while making scholarly contributions.

Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $79,400 - $240,000. The posted UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.

The Department of Psychiatry within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body.
We are conducting an open search for Specialists, Project Scientists, and Research Scientists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full level in various disciplines of neuropsychiatric disorders.
At UC San Diego, Specialists and Project Scientists make significant and creative contributions to research projects, while Research Scientists are academic researchers who develop and lead independent research and creative programs, equivalent to that required for the Ladder Rank Professor series.
The responsibilities of the selected candidates will include performing studies and experiments, analyzing and preparing reports and presentations, summarizing data, teaching and mentoring postdocs and students, and making scholarly contributions.
