Physician (Infectious Disease)

Provide assessment, treatment and management of care for adult patients with infectious diseases. Participate in medical education or community benefit programs, assist in educating and training support staff, and timely complete medical charting and billing activities for provided services.

Required

  • Completion of a U.S. medical residency program in Internal Medicine and U.S. medical fellowship program in Infectious Disease
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine and in Infectious Disease
  • the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license

JOB OPPORTUNITY: Physician (Infectious Disease)

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. seeks a full-time Infectious Disease Physician to: Provide assessment, treatment and management of care for adult patients with infectious diseases; participates in medical education or community benefit programs or other activities as may be requested; assist in educating and training support staff in the provision of efficient and effective infectious disease services; and timely complete medical charting and billing activities for provided services. Primarily works at The William W. Backus Hospital, 326 Washington Street, Norwich, CT 06360, but may also work at Windham Hospital, 112 Mansfield Avenue, Willimantic, CT 06226 and at the Medical Group's office at 12 Case Street, Norwich, CT 06360, based on patient and staffing needs.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this position are: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent; Completion of a U.S. medical residency program in Internal Medicine and U.S. medical fellowship program in Infectious Disease; Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine and in Infectious Disease; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
