Anesthesiologist
Experienced anesthesiologist role in Ketchikan, Alaska focused on independent practice without backup. The position involves providing anesthesia care across a wide range of specialties and performing procedures such as ultrasound guided blocks, OB labor epidurals, and central lines.
Key Responsibilities
- • Regularly serves orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN.
- • Also, ENT, GI, Plastics, Pediatric Dental, Women's Health Surgeries, Urology
Required
- • Possesses a diverse skill set and be comfortable practicing independently.
- • Experience in certain specialties including but not limited to General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB, Trauma, and Pediatric Dental
- • Able to perform ultrasound guided blocks, OB labor epidurals, and central lines
- • Must be comfortable practicing solo with no backup
- • Certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALs required as a condition of employment within 30 days of hire.

PeaceHealth has been serving the communities of Southeast Alaska since 1923 with Ketchikan Medical Center, a 25-bed critical-access hospital offering comprehensive trauma care, outpatient and home health services, and a 29-bed long-term care facility. Primary and specialty medical care is provided by PeaceHealth Medical Group—Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island. Our Trauma IV emergency department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by physicians who are independent contractors employed by National Emergency Services (NES).

Ideal Candidate

- Schedule is Monday-Friday: 7:00am -3:30pm
- Must be comfortable practicing solo with no backup

- EPIC EMR
