National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP)
This role combines EMS leadership at the health system and state level with support for local hospital-based EMS leadership teams. The physician will work alongside a full-time administrative partner and spend 0.6 FTE in administrative work, with the remainder working clinically in Emergency Departments.
Key Responsibilities
- • Lead our health system’s EMS team
- • Provide EMS leadership and support to the health system at the state level
- • Support local hospital-based EMS leadership teams
- • Serve as content expert and responsible for clinical direction of pre-hospital care policies and practices for the system
- • Establish, implement and oversee the use of system-wide protocols, policies and procedures related to pre-hospital care and interfacility transport
- • Oversee the Hospital EMS Medical Directors, standardizing EMS educational and operational resources and practices, and expectations for the EMS Medical Director role
- • Work closely with administrators, Director of EMS and Hospital EMS leaders in accomplishing prehospital emergency care goals
- • Support the mission and goals of the program at all times and utilize appropriate channels to effect improvements
Required
- • Emergency Medical Services Board-Certified/Eligible physician
- • EMS fellowship trained and/or ABEM EMS subspecialty board certified/board eligible
- • ABEM/AOBEM board certified

Position information
- Emergency Medicine Specialists is a community based independent democratic physician group which staffs 13 hospitals in the Milwaukee and Fox Cities areas of Wisconsin
- Wide array of sites allows for varying practice patterns in rural and urban populations which are socioeconomically diverse
- The position will be 0.6 FTE administrative and the remainder working clinically in our Emergency Departments
- Contract options for employee or partnership contracts – partnership track is open
- Administrative Job Responsibilities:
