Clinical Documentation Physician Liaison
This role monitors the use and implementation of physician tools to ensure accurate and complete records, and generates and analyzes data and reports to identify opportunities for documentation improvement. It also delivers training and continuing education to physicians and clinical departments, and acts as a liaison between CDI leadership, revenue cycle staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities
- • Monitors the use and implementation of physician tools to ensure accurate and complete records.
- • Generates and analyzes data and reports to identify opportunities for documentation improvement.
- • Other duties as assigned.
- • Delivers training and continuing education to physicians and clinical departments.
- • Uses critical thinking and sound judgment to balance reimbursement considerations with regulatory compliance.
- • Acts as a liaison between CDI leadership, revenue cycle staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Required
- • Excellent verbal and written communication
- • Strong leadership skills
- • Strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- • Understand CDI outcomes and operational metrics.
- • Interpersonal skills that promote teamwork
- • Foreign Medical Graduate
- • Advance practice practitioners (APRN or PA) with active Florida license
- • 5+ years clinical experience
Preferred
- • 2+ years in acute care setting
