Director, Global Health and Wellness
This role is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving a global strategy and operating model for occupational health, industrial hygiene, workers’ compensation case management, and employee wellness. It also ensures compliance, protects and promotes worker health, reduces injury-related risk, and supports business performance across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- • Designing, governing, and continuously improving a global strategy and operating model for occupational health (OH), industrial hygiene (IH), workers’ compensation case management, and employee wellness.
- • Provide expert analysis to evaluate and determine the optimal operating model for all Occupational Health and Wellness functions, identifying best case solutions that maximize efficiency through the strategic use of internal and external resources, and lead the implementation of the recommended model.
- • Develop and implement a global OH & Wellness strategy aligned with EHS vision.
- • Lead U.S. workers’ compensation programs, ensuring compliant handling, medical quality, and efficient claim resolution.
- • Establish global standards, clinical protocols, and IH governance systems.
- • Lead global case management including early communication, functional capacity evaluations, and accommodation assessments.
- • Govern Australian self-insurance injury management systems and compliance audits.
- • Oversee international Early Intervention programs focusing on rapid triage and injury minimization.
- • Provide biosafety oversight in R&D settings.
- • Lead OH/IH global teams and manage external vendor performance.
- • Own global OH/IH data systems, KPIs, and reporting.
Required
- • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (MD/DO, NP/PA with OH focus, MS OH/IH).
- • 10+ years OH/IH leadership in multinational or regulated industries.
- • Strong experience with U.S. workers’ compensation programs.
- • Knowledge of Australian self-insurance injury management and Early Intervention programs.
- • Familiarity with OSHA, EU OSH, ISO 45001/45003, and ACGIH/NIOSH frameworks.
Preferred
- • Board certification in Occupational Medicine or CIH/COH.
- • Experience leading global workers’ compensation transformation.
