Required
- • three to five years of Internal Medicine post residency clinical experience
- • core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency program
- • A minimum of 3 years of GME teaching/administrative experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director
- • excellent communication skills
- • active involvement in research and scholarship (publications, presentations, etc.)
- • mentorship experience of residents and students in scholarship and development of scholarship programs

Resurrection Medical Center, a key member of the Chicago medical community, is seeking a dynamic and committed Internal Medicine Residency Program Director to lead its ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program. This position offers a balanced role with approximately 50% protected administrative time dedicated to program leadership and 50% clinical practice, allowing the Program Director to remain actively engaged in patient care while shaping the future of graduate medical education.

Under the direction of the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), the Program Director is responsible for the general administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of the IM Residency Program (“IM Program or Program”). The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such. The Program Director is expected to support integration of the IM Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education.
