The physician records detailed medical histories for each patient in the electronic medical record, including chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. The role also involves performing appropriate physical examinations and analyzing test reports and personal examination findings to assess the patient’s medical condition, diagnose injury or illness, and formulate a prognosis.
