This role provides comprehensive urology care, including diagnosis and treatment of general urologic conditions, outpatient and inpatient procedures, and shared call coverage. It also offers the opportunity to develop a specialized reconstructive urology practice focused on complex genitourinary and urologic reconstruction, with potential academic involvement if interested.
Key Responsibilities
- • Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of general urologic conditions including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stones, hematuria, men’s health issues, and urologic cancers
- • Perform outpatient and inpatient urologic procedures and surgeries
- • Participate in a shared call coverage
- • Develop a reconstructive urology practice focused on urethral stricture disease, male urinary incontinence, prosthetics, genital and urinary tract reconstruction and more
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists
- • Serve as a referral resource for complex reconstructive cases from urologists throughout the region
Required
- • Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist
- • Fellowship training in Urologic Reconstruction
- • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- • Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
- • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
- • Fellowship training in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery required
- • Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina
- • Meeting the Board Certification requirements
- • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
- • Board Certified Urology
- • DEA;ACLS;MD/DO
- • Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English

UNC Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist with fellowship training in Urologic Reconstruction to join our growing and collaborative urology team.
This position offers the chance to maintain a broad general urology practice while developing a specialized focus in genitourinary & urologic reconstruction.
Additionally, there is an opportunity for academic involvement or appointment with UNC School of Medicine, if interested. The ideal candidate will enjoy a diverse clinical practice that includes the diagnosis and treatment of common urologic conditions as well as complex reconstructive cases referred from across the region.
