Primary Care Physician (FM/IM) | NC/SC | Remote | Weekends
Provide comprehensive, video-based primary care in a fully remote setting for established patients within the Novant Health System. Serve as a longitudinal primary care physician, managing a dedicated patient panel, supporting preventive, acute, and chronic care, and working with clinical and technical support teams to reduce administrative burden.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide high-quality preventative, acute, and chronic care in a fully remote, virtual setting
- • Elevate remote care by providing compassionate and meaningful patient encounters
- • Manage a dedicated panel of patients as their primary care physician
- • Refer patients to specialists or acute care services when clinically indicated
- • Work on population health initiatives for risk-attributed patients (AWVs, care gaps, transitions of care, risk capture)
- • Support patients immediately post-discharge to improve understanding of treatment plans and reduce hospital re-admissions
- • Practice continuous self-evaluation to ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices
Required
- • Board-Certified in Family or Internal Medicine
- • 3+ years of post-residency work experience
- • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in an in-person primary care setting
- • Experience with virtual visits required
- • Must have an active NC or SC state medical license
- • Must have prior experience with EPIC EMR
- • Clean background and medical malpractice history
- • Willing to commit 40 hours per week, including 36 clinical hours
- • Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week: Saturday, Sunday, and one additional weekday, with flexibility over starting hours between approximately 7:00 am and 9:00 am ET
- • Strong interest in developing longitudinal relationships with patients and managing chronic care conditions
- • Comfort with management of acute conditions in a virtual setting
- • Extensive experience handling 3+ cases per hour
- • Eagerness to learn about and implement cutting-edge technology to improve efficiency and clinical outcomes
