Provide high-quality inpatient medical care in a post-acute rehabilitation setting, including comprehensive assessments, management of acute and chronic conditions, and monitoring functional progress to support recovery goals. Collaborate with rehabilitation, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members while educating patients and families and maintaining compliant medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- • Conduct comprehensive inpatient medical assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of rehabilitation goals
- • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in coordination with the rehabilitation plan
- • Monitor functional progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery goals
- • Collaborate with rehabilitation physicians, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members
- • Provide medical education to patients and families related to recovery, comorbidities, and prevention
- • Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations
Required
- • Current physician license (State of AZ) and DEA
- • Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook
- • Ability to commute/relocate: Tucson, AZ (required)

Modules in our Medical Director Leadership Academy (MDLA) will position you for success in quality improvement initiatives, and collaboration with the facility leadership as a valued partner of the team. This educational program is best-in-class and not provided by any other organizations practicing post-acute medicine.
