The role involves participation in adult kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation, deceased donor procurement and organ recovery, and machine perfusion and organ preservation management. The surgeon will also provide inpatient and outpatient pre- and post-transplant patient care and participate in quality, regulatory, and program development initiatives.

Required
- • Board Certified/Board Eligible, ASTS fellowship-trained Multi-Organ Abdominal Transplant Surgeon
- • minimum of three years of post-fellowship clinical experience
- • strong technical proficiency in multi-organ transplantation
- • commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and programmatic growth
- • MD or DO degree
- • Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery
- • Completion of an ASTS-accredited Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship
- • Eligibility for Florida medical licensure
Preferred
- • Additional expertise in living donor kidney and/or liver procurement and donor management
- • Additional expertise in minimally invasive or robotic surgical techniques
- • Additional expertise in pediatric transplant experience
- • Additional expertise in clinical research and academic collaboration

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute currently performs annually:
- 100+ adult and pediatric liver transplants
- 150+ adult and pediatric kidney transplants
- 15+ pancreas transplants
Practice Description
