This role focuses on non-invasive imaging within pediatric cardiology, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography. The position includes inpatient and outpatient services, with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and pediatric cardiology fellows, and to contribute to academic and quality improvement efforts.

Required
- • completed three (3) years of fellowship in pediatric cardiology
- • advanced training in non-invasive imaging (or comparable experience)
- • Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to academic and clinical excellence in Pediatric Cardiology and imaging, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography
- • Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in pediatric cardiology
- • able to obtain an unrestricted PA license
- • BLS and PALS certification required
The desired candidate will have completed three (3) years of fellowship in pediatric cardiology and advanced training in non-invasive imaging (or comparable experience). Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to academic and clinical excellence in Pediatric Cardiology and imaging, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography. The position also includes participation in inpatient and outpatient services.
The Congenital Heart Center comprises the division of Pediatric Cardiology, the section of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and the division of Congenital Heart Surgery. The division of pediatric cardiology is comprised of 11 cardiologists, including the following subspecialties of cardiology: interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac MR, fetal cardiology, and multiple multi-disciplinary clinics throughout the institution. There are 2 congenital heart surgeons and 6 ACHD specialists. The division also comprises 4 physician assistants and 2 exercise physiologists. The division supports multiple NICUs in the area and has a robust fetal cardiology program.
Penn State Health Children’s Hospital serves the children throughout central Pennsylvania. Penn State is the primary training site for Penn State College of Medicine, and provides opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and pediatric cardiology fellows. The division seeks an ambitious, hardworking cardiologist to contribute to these efforts, and contribute to the academic and quality improvement community.
Requirements
- Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in pediatric cardiology and able to obtain an unrestricted PA license.
- BLS and PALS certification required.
