Key Responsibilities

Required
- • Candidates must be board certified / board eligible
- • possess / be eligible to obtain a MN medical license
- • The candidates should have the credentials to meet the standards of a research appointment as investigators or scientists
- • Candidates must have demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
- • strong clinical communication/interpersonal skills
Preferred
- • A secondary graduate degree is preferrable at the level of a PhD or equivalent
- • previously demonstrated success in managing a basic or translational science laboratory
- • Candidates with working experience as an independent faculty are preferred
- • preference is given to those with demonstrated ability to lead as an independent practitioner

The individual will join Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neurologic Surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, an academic tertiary care program, located in Rochester, MN. With the nation’s largest neurosurgical clinical volumes, collaborative clinical and research opportunities are available and encouraged across all Mayo sites (Arizona, Minnesota, Florida and the Mayo Health System).

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for Surgical specialties may range from $307,250.00 to $843,000.00. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
