Lead and shape the Department of Hospital Medicine by setting the standard for evidence-based, patient-centered care and fostering collaboration with the patient care team and hospital staff. This role focuses on daily operational oversight, quality improvement, provider onboarding and development, and active participation in meetings and committees across the department and hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- • Oversee daily workflow, ensuring optimal hospitalist coverage (Amion), managing patient flow and distribution, addressing clinical concerns, and supporting the Administrative Coordinator with callouts.
- • Serve as Administrator-On-Call for the Department.
- • Participate in recruitment, interview candidates, provide feedback, support APPs, and contribute to FPPE for new providers.
- • Respond to STARS reports, address clinical performance and professionalism issues, lead onboarding, and support stroke improvement initiatives.
- • Actively participate in various meetings and committees, including Hospital Medicine, ED/HM, Recruitment, Peer Review, Stroke, ED-HM-CC, Hospital Medicine Advisory, Beverly Operations, and hospital-wide initiatives.
- • Facilitate communication regarding discharges, transfers, and telemetry downgrades.
- • Address real-time concerns from nursing and ancillary staff.
- • Monitor shift coverage (Amion).

- • Resolve patient distribution issues.
- • Support admin with callouts.
- • Assign responsibilities.
- • Address admission-related issues.

Pay Range:
$289,000.00 USD - $322,000.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
