Required
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy
  • American Board of Surgery Board Eligible/Board Certified Surgeon
  • Able to obtain IN licensure

  • Demonstrable track record in forging physician/management relations

Indiana University Health, Indiana's most comprehensive and top-ranked healthcare system, is actively recruiting a General Surgery Physician Leader to join our growing team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We are in the early stages of developing a new healthcare facility and looking for passionate and skilled professionals to join us as we prepare to launch this exciting new chapter in patient care. This provider will manage general surgery cases while also leading, managing, and directing all clinical services to achieve specialty goals. Responsibilities will include overseeing the appropriateness, quality, efficiency and effectiveness of medical care, with a focus on driving operational excellence and fostering growth. Additionally, this provider will assist with physician recruitment for this respective specialty.

Qualifications

Healthcare System/Hospital Description

Delivering on our vision to make Indiana one of the nation’s healthiest states, Indiana University Health expanded into the northeast Indiana market in 2018. Currently, IU Health operates four primary care clinics, two urgent cares, and a radiology center in the Fort Wayne area. A 40,000-square foot accredited ambulatory care center opened in 2021, with five operating and five procedure rooms for more than 10 different specialties. Riley Children’s Health also operates a clinic in Fort Wayne, providing access close to home to multiple pediatric subspecialty physicians.
