Podiatrist - Utah County
This role focuses on examining and treating patients’ feet and ankles, including diagnosing conditions, performing surgery, prescribing treatments, and managing wound care. The position also involves educating patients and families, promoting preventive care, and maintaining appropriate medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- • Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
- • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
- • Perform surgery
- • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
- • Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
- • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
- • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
- • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
- • Perform wound care management as needed
- • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
Required
- • Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
- • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
- • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
- • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
- • Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
- • Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Utah
- • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
- • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
Preferred
- • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
