Neonatologist Opportunity
This role is part of a highly collaborative neonatal team serving a high-acuity, primary referral center for the most critically ill and medically complex newborns in Central California. The position offers work in a Level IV NICU with strong subspecialty support, experienced neonatal nurse practitioner support, and a focus on quality, innovation, and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- • Practice at Valley Children’s Main Campus – Madera, Ca
- • Serve in an 88 bed Level IV NICU
- • Care for the region’s most complex medical and surgical neonatal cases
- • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- • Provide care for complex neonatal patients in a high-acuity setting
Required
- • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship
- • Eligible for California medical licensure
- • Demonstrated commitment to quality, patient-centered care
- • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred
- • Prior experience practicing in a Level III or Level IV NICU environment
- • Experienced neonatologists are strongly encouraged to apply
- • Exceptional graduating fellows with outstanding training and a demonstrated commitment to neonatal care will also be considered

- 88-bed Level IV NICU
- Only Level IV NICU serving a 12-county region between Los Angeles and San Francisco
- High-acuity referral practice with complex medical and surgical neonatal patients
- Strong and experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner support
- Comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty coverage available
- 236 shifts annually
- Additional compensation opportunities through excess shifts
